The Serenity PrayerĀ
God, grant me peace
to accept the things I cannot change,
courage to change the things I can,
and wisdom to know the difference.
Living one day at a time,
practicing your presence,
accepting hardship as a means of sharing in Christā€™s suffering,
and bearing my cross, keeping my mind fixed on him.
Taking, as Jesus did, this sinful world as it is,
and trusting that you are making all things right,
including my surrender, according to your will,
so that I glorify your name.
Grant me contentment with you today as I walk in the Holy Spiritā€™s comfort and power,
bearing love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control.
May the hope of eternal glory with you animate my spirit, mind, and body
to live a lifetime of devotion to your will.
Amen.
